I do not remember how I heard of John James Audobon, but I remember being very interested in the lesson his life taught. Some it seems are blessed beyond measure and everything they do works out great. John did not live a life like this, but spent much time trying to be who others wanted him to be and was wholly unsuccessful. It was only when he fully embraced what his heart begged of him that he found success. His story implies that we do not have the capacity to tyrannize ourselves into becoming what we consciously want. It may turn out that if we give ourselves up to our creative passions, that we end up creating something that only we would be able to create and make the world more beautiful.
